Abstract
The aromatising agent contains at least one aroma or flavour component and/or a solvent and at least 0.0001% by weight, based on the total weight, of a dialkyl alpha ,ss-diacylsuccinate of the formula I, in which R1 denotes straight-chain or branched alkyl having 1-5 C atoms and R2 denotes straight-chain or branched alkyl having 1-6 C atoms, cyclopentyl or cyclohexyl. The compound of the formula I imparts a markedly improved taste to a great number of aromatising agents. <IMAGE>
