Abstract
1512984 Ni base alloy CABOT CORP 13 June 1975 [17 June 1974] 25343/75 Heading C7A A nickel base alloy of composition:- Cr 8 to 25% Al 2À5 to 8% Yt present to 0À04% Mo 0 to 15% Re 0 to 15% Hf 0 to 15% W 0 to 15% Ta 0 to 15% C 0 to 0À5% B 0 to 0À5% Mg 0 to 0À5% Zr 0 to 0À5% Ca 0 to 0À5% Si 0 to 1% Mn 0 to 2% Co 0 to 20% Fe 0 to 30% Ti 0 to 5% Balance:- Ni (at least 40%) plus impurities and prepared by electro-slag remelting an alloy electrode containing in excess of 0À02% Yt. The alloy may be prepared by vacuum induction casting, electroslag remelting using CaF2 flux, soaking for 2 hours at 2050‹F, hot-rolling to sheet form, stress relieving at 2050‹F, fan cooling, descaling, cold-rolling and annealing for 10 minutes at 2050 F.
