Abstract

1512060 Lamp reflectors ESQUIRE Inc 6 Aug 1975 [11 Sept 1974] 32885/75 Heading F4R A reflector for a luminaire, the surface of which approximates a part of a paraboloid of revolution, is formed from a flat rectangular strip 50 of reflective material by cutting V- notches from one edge of the strip to a line 52 about three quarters of the way across the strip to produce a plurality of segments 22a-22g, bending the segments along a series of lines 52, 54, 56 to divide each segment into a plurality of facets 38, 40, 42, 44, and then bending the strip along each of the dividing lines between the segments to substantially close the notches and to form a substantially contiguous surface. Two of the reflectors may be mounted in a luminaire on either side of a mercury vapour or sodium vapour lamp.
