Abstract

1511812 Repairing pipelines CONCRETE INDUSTRIES (MONIER) Ltd 26 July 1976 [28 July 1975] 31015/76 Heading F2P A method of sealing cracks &c., in a pipeline comprises inserting there-into an implement including an inflatable tube 1 having longitudinal ribs 4 forming channels there-between the tube being closed at both ends by end parts 2 and 3 and having an outlet 5 for sealing material halfway along its length, inflating the tube until the ribs and the ends of the tube tightly contact the inner wall of the pipe, injecting sealing material from a supply through said outlet into said channels and into any defects in the pipe wall, allowing the sealing material to set and removing the implement. The end part 2 has connections for supply of compressed air into the tube and for supply of a sealing material and a hardener to nozzles 6, 7 in the chamber 5. Support rods 15 connected by wire rope 18 are provided for moving the implement through the pipeline.
