Abstract
The semiconductor chip made, for example, from bipolar and/or MOS transistors has signal inputs (Inf, Pu, CE2, CE1), signal outputs (A1, A2, A3, A4) and control inputs (E1, E2, E3, E4) via which the digital operating mode of the chip can be controlled. The signal outputs have tristate operation, i.e. the output is either high-resistance-blocked ( OMEGA ) or in each case has low resistance and one of the two binary levels (UL, UH). The operating mode can be switched from forwarding mode to distribution mode and other operating modes. The chips are suitable for activating latching relay couplers. <IMAGE>
