Abstract

1511146 Coated granules of ethylene copolymer IMPERIAL CHEMICAL INDUSTRIES Ltd 21 Aug 1975 [11 Sept 1974] 39601/74 Heading B2E Granules of copolymer of ethylene and an unsaturated ester of a fatty acid are coated with a surfactant to reduce surface tackiness of the granules. The copolymer may be of ethylene and vinyl acetate. Suitable surfactants are soaps e.g. potassium oleate, and condensates of ethylene oxide with C 11-19 aliphatic primary alcohols. The coating may include an antifoaming agent and may be applied by immersing the granules in aqueous solution or dispersion of the surfactant followed by drying.
