Abstract

1511062 Window pane aerial P R R LAURENT 3 Oct 1975 [4 Oct 1974] 40465/75 Heading H4A [Also in Division B7] A window-mounted aerial assembly comprises two electrically conducting strips facing one another and provided on opposite faces of a strip of insulating material, the down-lead being connected to only one of the conducting strips. In one embodiment two metal strips are bonded to opposed faces of a plastics, felt, rubber or fabric strip a few millimetres thick. The resulting sandwich can be bonded to the inside of aÀ car windscreen. A second embodiment utilizes a translucent non-conductive sheet with translucent vapour-deposited metal electrodes on both its surfaces instead of the metal strips, and doubles as a heat or sun screen. This arrangement may be incorporated in a laminated window.
