Abstract
1510885 Knitting machines SAKURAI Ltd 9 June 1975 [10 June 1974 24 June 1974 (2). 11 Dec 1974] 24572/75 Heading D1C A warp yarn feed device in a rotary cylinder knitting machine comprises a rotary guide cylinder 13 mounted above the needle cylinder 1 and carrying in axial grooves a plurality of wrap yarn feed assemblies each comprising an axially slidable element 24 controlled by a stationary cam arrangement 36, sliding of the element being adapted, e.g. through a twisted strip 26 engaging a slot 27, to cause rotation of a rod 25 carrying a yarn guide arm 31. Yarn bobbins 47 and associated upper and lower spring - loaded yarn tensioning means 45, 46 are carried by a support plate 48 which is rotated with cylinder 13. The guide arms may be mounted at different heights so as not to interfere with each other and adjustment is provided by slots 29 and by projections 33 on bearing members 34 which are adjustably received in holes in the guide cylinder 13. The elements 24 have notches 23 in which the controlling cams engage and in one embodiment the notches 23 and associated cams are provided at two levels.
