Abstract

1510813 Dispersing radar reflecting material BOFORS AB 20 June 1975 [20 June 1974] 26399/75 Heading F3A A rocket, mortar shell or other carrier for dispersing radar-reflecting material, comprises a housing 2 with a separable rear portion 3, and a band or wire 11 attached at its opposite ends to the housing and the rear portion and arranged in a zig-zag between separate parts of a stack of part charges of the radar-reflecting material so that, when the band or wire is extended by separation of the housing and its rear portion, the part charges are thrown in at least two directions. Each storey of the stack of part charges may comprise one or more sectors, and a band or wire is provided for each sector in a storey. A charge 14 is used for separating the rear portion 3 from the housing 2. The radar reflecting material comprises small dipoles of aluminium- or silver-plated nylon.
