Abstract

1510625 Reducing interference PLESSEY CO Ltd 15 Aug 1975 [26 June 1974] 28446/74 Headings H4L and H4D The invention utilizes the principle that the polarization of the echo from a target is more randomly polarized than that from a jammer, and comprises two receiving aerials b, c arranged to receive angularly-spaced polarizations (e.g. +45 degrees, - 45 degrees) and to feed an interference canceller f which includes a circuit which applies a portion of input signals at e, modulated in amplitude and phase by g, additively to the signal input at d so as to achieve zero correlation between the final output at h and a sample j of input e. A "blank-and-hold" circuit k is added to reduce clutter. Specification 1,504,517 is referred to.
