Abstract

1510233 Pipe joints BRITISH GAS CORP 13 Dec 1976 [12 Dec 1975] 51026/75 Heading F2G An end fitting for an inflexible sheath 20 covering a plastics pipe 29 or a cable comprises a body member 21 sealingly attached at one end to the sheath 20 by screw threads or fusion welding, the other end of the member 21 having a female screw thread terminating in an abutment 22 against which an 0-ring 23 may be compressed by a bush 24 screwed into the member 21, the 0-ring 23 sealing against a collar member 26 slidable therein the other end of the collar member 26 having a similar arrangement of female screw thread, 0-ring 28 and bush 27 to seal against the pipe 29. The bush 27 may also locate the pipe for attachment to a bracket 32.
