Abstract
1508902 Tricalcium phosphate composition SUCREST CORP 7 May 1975 19225/75 Addition to 1327938 Heading C1A [Also in Division C3] A particulate composition comprises a dry mixture of about 100 parts by wt. of a co-dried blend of from 0À5 to less than 50 wt. per cent of locust bean gum and more than 50 wt. per cent tricalcium phosphate, up to 200 parts by wt. of granular tricalcium phosphate having a particle size greater than 120 mesh, and locust bean gum as a lubricant and disintegrating agent in an amount of 5-15 wt. per cent based on the co-dried blend and 3-7 wt. per cent based on the combined wt. of co-dried blend and granular tricalcium phosphate when the latter is present. An acidic material such as citric acid, adipic acid, ferrous sulphate, or monocalcium phosphate, may be used as an auxiliary disintegrating agent in an amount of 1-7 wt. per cent based on the co-dried blend. The particulate composition may be admixed with an active material, or filler, disintegrating agents or lubricants, and tableted.
