1508761 Hydraulic cement compositions; oligosaccharides KAO SOAP CO Ltd 11 Feb 1977 [11 March 1976] 05764/77 Heading C1H A hydraulic cement composition comprises hydraulic cement and from 0À01 to 0À3 wt. per cent (based on the wt. of the hydraulic cement) of an oxidized oligosaccharide having an average molecular weight of 300-3500, wherein the oxidation has transformed the terminal aldehyde groups of the oligosaccharide to carboxyl groups. The oligosaccharide may be a hydrolysate of starch, cellulose or hemicellulose and may be used in the form of its salts.
