Portable buildings.-In a portable hut of the kind in which the floor, walls, and roof are formed of a number of sections, the joints between the inter-engaging sections of the floor are arranged to avoid upward draught, and the wall sections may be interengaged with the outer floor sections by projections on the one entering recesses on the other. Further, the wall sections, which may be of the known hollow type, may interengage by means of tongues and grooves, each section having a tongue and groove so as to be interchangeable. The floor is the width of two sections while in length it comprises mid-sections A<1> and end sections A<2>. The boards of the section are secured to supports a' so arranged that the joints of the supports a' and of the boards a are broken as shown to prevent upward draught. The wall sections of hollow type are engaged with the floor sections by means of a rail a<3> secured to the floor entering a recess formed bv the boarding and the framing b<1>. Fig. 5 shows the joints between the wall sections both at the corners and intermediately, the tongues and grooves being formed by the relative position of the framing b<1> and the match boarding b. Each roof section consists of lengths of boarding secured to two end rafters and an intermediate rafter, the rafters being tied together by ties or by a collar and being notched to receive the wall sections. Doors and windows may be separate units secured to the wall sections, or they may be incorporated in the wall sections.
