Abstract

1508391 Phenylalkylamines STERLING DRUG Inc 15 Jan 1976 [20 Jan 1975 17 Dec 1975] 01595/76 Heading C2C The invention comprises novel compounds (I) and (Ia) (including salts thereof) where, with respect to formula (I), R 1 represents hydrogen or one or two, which may be the same or different, C 1-4 alkyl, hydroxy, C 1-4 -alkoxy, trifluoromethyl, C 1-4 -alkylmercapto, C 1-4 -alkylsulfinyl, C 1-4 -alkylsulfonyl or halogen selected from fluorine, chlorine and bromine; R 2 represents hydrogen, or C 1-4 -alkoxy or hydroxy in the 4-position relative to the CHR 3 CH 2 - N=B group, or C 1-4 -alkyl in either of the 2-, 4-, 5- or 6-positions; R3 represents hydrogen or C 1-4 alkyl; the group >C=X represents >C=O, >C(R 3 )OH, >C(R 3 )H, >C=CH 2 , >C=NOH or >CHN(R 3 ) 2 (where R 3 is only hydrogen or methyl in the last case); and N = B represents one of the groups where R 3 represents hydrogen or C 1-4 -alkyl and is the same or different when occurring more than once, R 4 and R 5 each represent C 1-4 - alkyl; R 6 and R 7 each represent hydrogen, C 1-4 -alkyl, cyclohexyl, cyclohexylmethyl, 2- cyclohexylethyl, 3 - cyclohexylpropyl or benzyl; Z represents O, S or N-R 8 ; R 8 represents C 1-4 alkyl or cyclohexyl; and n is the integer 1, 2 or 3; and with respect to formula (Ia) CX signifies CO and R 3 is C 1-4 alkyl or CX signifies CHNH 2 and R 3 is H. They are made by standard methods. Pharmaceutical preparations having antiinflammatory action contain (I) and/or (Ia) as active ingredient.
