Abstract

1507754 Arachidonic acid UNILEVER Ltd 7 Jan 1977 [9 Jan 1976] 00837/76 Heading C2C [Also in Division C3] Arachidonic acid concentrate is prepared from comminuted animal tissue containing phosphatide derived from the acid, e.g. pig or beef liver, adrenals, or brain, pig kidney, spleen or heart and beef or sheep testis by incubation with phospholipase A 2 . The free acids are recovered by extraction, followed by fractionation if desired.
