Abstract

1507314 Vibration damping MESSERSCHMITT-BOLKOW-BLOHM GmbH 3 March 1975 [16 March 1974] 8807/75 Heading F2S Apparatus such as a motor or a compressor, or a building, is provided with a sound and vibration damper comprising a body b which reduces in thickness starting from a larger region c and proceeding to a smaller region d, with the larger region secured to or integrated with a vibrating component of the apparatus and with the smaller region remote from the component, the damper having a vibration attenuating medium 5, 96 extending between the smaller region and a fixed point. The damper is non-resonant and non-frictional. The damper may have a constant crosssection (Fig. 1) or may taper in cross-section along its length.
