Abstract

1506994 Labelling E GRABER [trading as ETAB MAXIMA] 25 May 1976 21660/76 Heading B8F An identification device comprises a capsule and attachment means whereby it can be worn by a person, the capsule containing a flexible strip recording information such as medical, religious, or other personal data of use in an emergency, the length of the strip greatly exceeding the largest dimension of the capsule, and the strip and a part of the device which remains attached to the wearer when the strip is removed bear identical markings enabling the strip to be identified with the wearer. In the embodiment shown, the folded strip 4 is enclosed by a knurled threaded cover 2 and base 1, the latter being secured to a strap 5 by a dovetail formation 1<SP>1</SP>. A serial member 9 on the strap is repeated on the strip. Strap, capsule, and strip may bear a marking, e.g. SOS, to show that the device is intended for emergency use. The capsule may alternatively be worn by means of a conventional watch strap, ring, brooch, pin or bracelet.
