Abstract

1506435 Fume cupboard NETHERLANDS APPLIED SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH FOR INDUSTRY TRADE & COMMERCE 9 April 1975 [10 April 1974] 14540/75 Heading F4X A fume cupboard 1 has a front wall 2 provided with a sash window 3. The upper part of the wall 2 has an opening 7 therethrough with a baffle plate 4 spaced in front of the opening by side members 15. The space enclosed between the baffle plate 4 and wall 2 is open top and bottom. The baffle plate 4 optionally has an opening therethrough. The optional opening is provided with a metal grill 5 or louvres. The side members 15 are extended over the entire height of the fume cupboard by members 16. A suction duct is provided at 9. Baffles 11, 12, 13 aid favourable suction distribution. Lighting elements are provided at 6. The front wall 2 of the cupboard is transparent.
