Abstract

1506336 Hauling PUSNES MEKANISKE VERKSTED AS 27 Oct 1976 44679/76 Heading B8B An anchoring or mooring line 1 comprising a chain 3 and a rope 2 interconnected by a coupling link 8, is hauled by the combination of a rope winch 4 and a chain wildcat 9. Initially the rope 2 is wound on to the drum 4 under the control of a spooling device 5 until the coupling link 8 approaches the device 5 whereby it is manually adjusted to align the line 1 with the wildcat 9. After winding the chain partly on to the drum 4, the chain 3 is locked at 10 to relieve the load on the winch drum 4 which is then reversed to drop the chain over the wildcat, which then takes the line load upon release of the chain lock 10. Further hauling is effected by the wildcat which feeds the depending chain loop into a locker.
