Abstract

1506118 Aerosol hair lacquer compositions L'OREAL 16 July 1976 [28 July 1975] 29757/76 Heading C4X [Also in Division Fl] A hair lacquer aerosol composition comprises 20-30% by weight of an alcoholic solution containing 3-20% by weight, relative to the weight of alcohol, of at least one ethyl or butyl mono-ester of a copolymer of methyl vinyl ether and maleic acid, and from 80-70% by weight of at least one liquid propellant. Preferably the copolymer has a molecular weight of from 15,000-60,000 and has 20-35% of its free carboxylic acid groups neutralized by a base. The liquid propellant may be one or more compositions taken from the group formed by trichlorofluoromethane, dichlorodifluoromethane, and nitrous oxide. The composition may also include plasticizers, perfumes, pigments, surfactants, urea, silicones or anti-seborrhea products. An example is described.
