Abstract

1505816 Treating water; polyphosphoric acid salts ALBRIGHT & WILSON Ltd 28 Feb 1975 [29 Nov 1973] 55534/73 Headings C1A and C1C [Also in Division C7] The scaling and corrosive properties of water are reduced by incorporation of up to 1000 p.p.m. of a mixture of polyphosphoric acid salts. An aqueous solution of polyphosphoric acid salts is prepared by reacting a solution of an acid containing 80-88% P 2 O 5 with a basic amine, ammonium, alkali metal or zinc derivative.
