Abstract

1502627 Agricultural implements for working crop on the ground PHILIP PEARCE & CO Ltd 26 Nov 1975 [26 Nov 1974] 48663/75 Headings AIF and A1P The tines 18 of each rotary rake head 14 are pivoted about upright axes so as to be pivotable outwardly against biassing means from a tangential inoperative position under the influence of centrifugal force when the rotary rake head 14 is rotated. Each tine pair 18, 18 is clamped to a shaft 17 pivoted in a boss 28 welded to a ring 16 of the rotary rake head 14, the shaft 17 being retained in the boss 28 by a head 29 acted on by the biassing means which is in the form of a spring 37. The head 29 is secured to the shaft 17 by a pin 30 which projects and may engage a stop 40 to define a tedding position for the tines; if the stop 40 is inverted, the tines trail for windrowing. The draft beam 12 is pivoted about a vertical axis to the draft frame 11, and with limited pivotal movement at 26 about a longitudinal axis to the transverse beam 13 supporting the rotary rake heads 14.
