1502429 Producing granular solids by evaporation HEAD WRIGHTSON & CO Ltd 9 July 1975 [23 July 1974] 32521/74 Addition to 1119514 Heading BIB [Also in Division F4] In the process of Parent Specification, the ordered motion of hot particles is effected by a stream of heated high velocity air or gas which is at a higher temperature than the fluidising gas stream, the ratio of the flow rates expressed as weight per unit time of high velocity gas to fluidising gas being in the range of 0.1:1 to 0.4:1. 1/3-1/5 of the total heat may be provided by the high velocity gas, the rest being provided by the fluidising gas, and the bed temperature may be below boiling point of the liquid or slurry being evaporated. The apparatus of Specification 1304253 may be used.
