Abstract

1502329 Wall panels ELLIS PEARSON & CO Ltd 8 Oct 1976 [9 July 1975] 28851/75 Heading E1B A wall panel comprises glass 1 and thermal insulation 2 held together by a metal channel 3, the flanges of which are notched at four positions and the webs of which at said notches are bent around the corners of the glass and insulation. The ends of the channel are secured together by galvanized clips 6 engaging the flanges. The channel may be stepped with the glass being of slightly greater area than the insulation. Resilient tape 8 and 9 and self-adhesive tape 9 may be provided. The glass and the insulation may be bonded together. The thermal insulation is preferably framed polyurethane and the channel section anodized aluminium. The glass may be opaque or clear with a colour coat either on its face adjacent the insulation or on the adjacent face of the insulation. The face of the insulation remote from the glass may have a covering on its face to match the room interior.
