1501743 Azo dyes FUJI PHOTO FILM CO Ltd 28 Aug 1975 [28 Aug 1974] 35597/75 Heading C4P [Also in Divisions G2 and C2] 1 - Hydroxy - 4 - {# - [4 - (1 - hydroxy - 3,6 - disulpho - 8 - acetamido - 2 - naphthylazo)phenoxy]- ethoxy} - 2 - N - fy - (2,4 - di - tert. - amylphenoxy) - propyl]naphthamide disodium salt is prepared by diazotizing 1 - hydroxy - 4 - [# - (4 - aminophenoxy)-ethoxy] - N - [y - (2,4 - di - tert. - amylphenoxy)propyl] - 2 - naphthamide, coupling the product with an aqueous methanol NaOH solution of 1 -hydroxy - 3,6 - disulpho - 8 - acetylaminonaphthalene disodium salt and acidifying with HCl. I - Hydroxy - 4 - {2 - hydroxy - 3 - [4 - (1 -hydroxy - 3,6 - disulpho - 8 - acetamido - 2 -naphthylazo)phenoxy]propyloxy} - 2 - (N - hexadecyl) - naphthamide disodium salt is prepared similarly using 1 -hydroxy - 4 - [2 - hydroxy - 3 - (4 -nitrophenoxy) -propyloxy] - 2 - (N - hexadecyl)naphthamide. 2 - Hexadecanamido - 4 - [4 - (1 - hydroxy - 3,6 - disulpho - 8 - acetamido - 2 - naphthylazo)phenoxy]- phenol disodium salt is prepared similarly using 4- (4-nitrophenoxy)-2-hexadecanamido-phenol.
