Abstract

1501495 Mooring vessels R C PEARSON 13 May 1976 [27 May 1975] 23083/75 Heading B7V A mooring arrangement for mooring a vessel to a stationary and/or waterborne structure comprises a first mooring rope connected to the structure at two spaced apart points and a second mooring rope connected to the first between the points and to the vessel, the second rope being less resilient and having a lower breaking load than the first. The first rope can be of nylon and the second rope of polypropylene. The first rope can be fixed to high and low positions on the structure possibly over running connection and the second rope can be connected thereto, e.g. by a grommet.
