Abstract
1500981 Slide projectors GAF CORP 2 Jan 1975 5 [19 Sept 1974] 118/75 Heading G2J A slide projector useable with both linear and rotary magazines has an indexing lever 60 which is pivoted in synchronism with movement of a slide changer 17 and carries at one end a pawl 62 for indexing linear magazines and at the other end a pawl 61 for indexing rotary magazines. As shown the lever 60 carries a pin 63 which is co-extensive with pawl 62 and is located in a camway 67 in slide changer 17. As changer 17 is moved in and out, lever 60 is moved into and out of engagement with magazine indexing racks 29, 42 and is pivoted to index the magazines. The direction of magazine movement is determined by the position of a guidemember 73 in camway 67; the position being changed by moving a control bracket (80), Figs, 8, 9, (not shown). The projector includes guides 21, 22 for the magazines and a spring mounted retainer 35 which is used to support rotary magazines but is cammed to an inoperative position upon inserting a linear magazine. Optionally, a spring pressed plate (91), Figs. 11 to 13, (not shown) urges the pawls 61, 62 into engagement with the magazine racks 42, 29.
