Abstract

1500561 Cable ducting GILFLEX CONDUITS Ltd 23 July 1976 [25 July 1975] 31169/75 Heading H2C Cable ducting comprises an elongate base 1 with at least two parallel ribs 3 set inwardly from the edges of the base, a main cover 6 secured between the or each pair of ribs, elongate side covers 7 secured between an edge of the base and the adjacent rib 3 to form side passages and small transverse wiring ducts 22 passing through a side cover and adjacent rib into the main passage. A number of main covers may be provided and each cover may enclose a number of subsidary ribs. Transverse ducts may extend through adjacent ribs from one side passage to another. The ducts may form room fittings, e.g. skirtings and the side covers may be shaped or decorated accordingly. The covers are a snap fit on the base the arrangement being such that the main cover(s) can only be removed when the side covers have been removed. Accessories may be mounted on the main cover. The duct may be of PVC and may be secured by adhesive to a wall or other surface.
