746,367. Conduits. MARRYAT & PLACE, Ltd. Oct. 26, 1954, No. 30884/54. Class 36. Trunking for a distribution system comprises a rectangular-section casing 1 divided by partitions 2 into a number of ducts 3 to receive conductors 4, slots 10 being provided at intervals along the casing which are normally closed by cover strips 11 which are slidable in grooves 5 provided in the casing and which are bowed so as normally to be retained in position over the slots 10. Each strip 11 may be provided with a projection 12 and a rib 13 which normally engages the slot 10. To make a tapping the projection 12 of the appropriate strip 11 may be gripped to straighten the strip and disengage the rib 13 from the slot 10, when the strip may be moved along the casing to expose the slot.
