Abstract

1499840 Vehicle wipers DUCELLIER ET CO 17 Sept 1975 [2 Oct 1974] 38156/75 Heading A4F A vehicle wiper assembly of the type comprising a drive motor/reduction gear unit 1 having an output shaft 6 and a bearing for the remote end 6b of the shaft, is characterized in that the bearing is a journal bearing 9 having a part-spherical surface seated in a part-spherical seat formed in a resilient member 11 having a peripheral groove 12 to engage the edge of a hole 14 in a body part. This permits the assembly to be mounted on double-walled body parts, as shown, which are of different wall spacings and in which the walls 2, 10 are not parallel. The member 11 may have an integral annular extension 15 to protect the bearing from dirt.
