Abstract
1498412 Lining tunnels SPUN CONCRETE Ltd 17 March 1975 [11 April 1974] 16366/74 Heading E1F [Also in Divisions B2 and F2] A concrete pipe or tunnel is internally lined with a protective coating comprising two layers of a waterproof coating comprising a major proportion of epoxy resin and a minor proportion of tar reinforced by an intermediate layer of glass fibre. The lining is constructed by applying the first layer of epoxy resin to the interior surface of the concrete lining and while the layer is still wet the fibre glass lining is applied and the resin coating is allowed to cure chemically, the second layer of resin then being applied to give a smooth finish.
