Abstract
1497746 Improving electro-photographic members PHILIPS GLOEILAMPENFABRIEKEN NV 4 March 1975 [7 March 1974] 8893/75 Heading G2C Electro-photographic members comprising a conductive support and a partly transparent layer not more than 5 microns thick containing polyvinyl carbazale and optionally a sensitizer are heated for at least 15 hours between 45 and 70‹C. There may be 2 layers of polyvinyl carbazale. Before such heating, they may be dried (e.g. between 50 and 60‹C for 1 to 2 hours) and stored at room temperature. The heating step may be repeated and it is stated that such heating improves the sensitivity of the member in terms of its discharge on exposure. Trinitrofluorenone is the preferred sensitizer.
