Abstract

1497496 Crates NORPLASTA AS 24 April 1976 16727/76 Heading B8P A crate for bottles comprises an open side wall 13 through which bottles may be withdrawn a structure defining partitions 22 for receiving bottles, the partitions 22 increasing in height in a direction away from the withdrawal opening 14, and a member 25 displaceable in guides 30 in end walls 17 of the crate between a lower position, in which the withdrawal opening 14 is blocked, and an upper position in which bottles may be withdrawn. The crate is preferably of plastics material, formed with a base 16 comprising ribs 16A, 16B, the partitions 22 including sloping edge portions 23 and generally V- formed rear portions, Fig. 2 (not shown), with weight-reducing apertures (22A). The displaceable member 25 includes a lath 28 for blocking the opening 14, guide rails 29 which run in the guides 30, and a locking lug 34A for co-operation with the wall 13 above the opening 14 to retain the member 25 in raised condition. In the lower position, partition laths 26, 27 of the member 25 define bottle-receiving compartments, the lath 27 being located in depressions- (24), Fig. 2 (not shown), in the partions 22.
