Abstract

1497156 Radiographic exposure setting PHILIPS ELECTRONIC & ASSOCIATED INDUSTRIES Ltd 14 Feb 1975 [19 Feb 1974] 6351/75 Heading H5R In a multi-function radiographic apparatus, in which the exposure program depends on the function and on the organ to be examined, to avoid risk of error each button 4 marked "kidney", "stomach" &c. is connected to one group of presetting units 1, 2 unique to the button 4, via contacts 5 of function selector switch 6, each unit 1, 2 of the group controlling via circuits 11-14 or 21-24 a separate X-ray apparatus or one application of a single apparatus common to more than one function. The other buttons are connected to similar groups of presetting units, via further contacts of switch 6, and locking circuits maintain operation of a selected unit after its button is released, and ensure that pressing any other button does not take effect until completion of the exposure.
