1497097 Optical projectors S BESANCENOT 3 Oct 1975 [4 Oct 1974] 40657/75 Heading G2J As shown in Fig.2, a part 1 is pivotally mounted about an axis 2 on the pusher of a magazine slide projector. When the part 1 is in the position shown on the right, an arcuate part 3 thereof is turned to the right ready to contact a slide in the projection position. When the pusher is moved to the left, the extension 3 moves the slide back into the magazine. At the same time, a finger 5 on the body 4 of the part 1 runs in a cam groove 6 and rocks the part 1 about the axis 2 in an anti-clockwise direction as shown in the left-hand side of the figure. This ensures that the slide is pushed into the magazine before the end of the movement of the pusher. Continued movement of the pusher, and the action of the cam groove 6, causes the extension 3 to retract from the magazine before the magazine steps forward at the end of the pusher movement. A shutter 11, Fig.3, is in the closed position shown when the slide is out of the projection position. When the pusher moves to the right, a flange 22 on the pusher slides over a flange 21 on a lever 16 pivoted at 17 to the body 18 of the projector. When the slide contacts a stud 24 on the lever 16, the lever is pivoted clockwise and releases a pin 20 on the shutter 11, which moves clockwise to its open position under action of a spring 15. When the pusher is operated to return the slide to the magazine, the flange 22 engages the flange 21 to return the shutter 11 to its closed position.
