Abstract

1496899 Manhole covers and frames SELFLOCK Ltd 12 Dec 1975 [13 Dec 1974] 53941/74 Addition to 1334110 Heading E1G The manhole cover and frame assembly of the parent specification are modified in that the identical angle-section configuration or stock forming a side 12 of the seating frame 10 and a corresponding side 2 of the framed reinforced concrete or other cover has one limb formed to provide an inwardly facing lengthwise protrusion which is bounded on each side by a trough for two sealing strips 17. The rectangular frames described have one opposed pair of angle-section sides connected by an opposed pair of flat bar sides.
