1496651 Stud and socket connector OMK DESIGN Ltd 17 Dec 1974 [24 Sept 1973] 44719/73 Heading E2B A pair of connector elements are mountable on a pair of elongate members e.g. parallel parts 4, 9, Fig. 3 of chain frames A. B, one element comprising a female part 3 having a pair of spaced lugs 5, each having an inwardly facing projection 6, the other element comprising a male part 8 having a boss 10 having on its outer faces slots 11 cooperating with projections 6 to retain the elements releasably together by sliding engagement and subsequent relative rotation in the plane of sliding. As shown, the slots have one straight side 12 and one arcuate side 13, inclined so that chain B must be tilted relative to chain A to engage projection 6 in slot 11, the projection 6 rotating in arcuate part 13 of slot 11 on release of chain B.
