Abstract

1496243 Sheet-ordering apparatus TIMSONS Ltd 21 June 1976 [21 May 1975] 21771/75 Heading B8R Sheet elements, such as half-block book sections 25, are carried on a first conveyer 10 comprising a plurality of belts 10a to one or more laterally aligned rollers 11 each carrying two channels 13, 14 comprising limbs 17 diverging from the rollers, whereby alternate elements enter one of the series of channels 13 or 14 and are carried thereby between pivoted gate members 23a, 23b and between the rollers and an arcuate guide 19, through an arc of 180 degrees and allowed to fall on to a second conveyer 20 which carries them to a merging station 21, while the remaining elements, which do not enter the channels, force up the members 23a, 23b and pass on to a third conveyer 22 which carries them to the station 21, one of each set of elements 28, 29 being brought together on the conveyer 20.
