1495809 Antiskid braking systems WABCO WESTINGHOUSE GmbH 14 July 1975 [1 Aug 1974] 29410/75 Heading F2F An antiskid braking system includes sensors producing output signals, representative of rotary behaviour of respective wheels during braking, which are applied to evaluation circuits 1 or 101 for controlling braking pressures and the circuits associated with wheels on the same axle are interconnected so that incipient locking of either wheel results in control of the braking pressure of the other wheel on the same axle, each of the circuits 1 or 101 including a pulse generating device 7 or 107 connected to cause the intermittent closure of a valve 4 or 104 controlling the fluid pressure inlet to the brake of the associated wheel in response to either an output signal from the circuit associated with the other wheel on the same axle, or an input signal to the fluid pressure inlet valve of said other wheel. When a predetermined deceleration of the right hand wheel has been achieved a control signal generated by circuit 1 is applied via an OR-gate 2 and amplifier 3 to the valve 4 to reduce braking pressure and simultaneously the signal is transmitted via an OR-gate 5 to the input of an AND gate 106. At the second negated input of AND gate 106 there is no signal from circuit 101 since the left hand wheel shows no tendency to lock and the signal passes to pulse device 107 whose output passes to OR- gate 102 its output in turn passing to amplifier 103 and valve 104 so that the latter is opened and shut to slow the build of braking pressure. When the left hand wheel tends to lock a control signal is applied to AND gate 106 to block the pulse.
