1495563 Swimming pool covers PLESSEY CO Ltd 16 April 1975 [17 April 1974] 16695/74 Heading A4N [Also in Division F4] A cover 2 which is adapted to float on water comprises a plurality of inter-connected sections 14-28, each section comprising a first flexible sheet 4 of transparent or translucent plastics material spaced above a second flexible sheet 6 of thermally conductive plastics material; each section thereby including a plurality of hollow chambers. The spacer means may be spacer plates 8 or a honeycomb structure. The cover may include additional floats; may have convex upper surfaces, Fig. 3 (not shown); or may have the second sheet 6 formed of a carbon-containing plastics material.
