Abstract

The liquid sulphur dioxide used according to the parent Specification for the extraction of radium salts is replaced by liquid sulphur dioxide containing sulphur trioxide. The solvent may be obtained by liquefying sulphur dioxide containing sulphur trioxide which has been dried for instance by phosphorus pentoxide or phosphoric acid.
