Abstract

1495385 Rollers; pistons BELOIT WALMSLEY Ltd 23 Dec 1974 [21 Dec 1973] 59364/73 Headings F2U and F2T The periphery of a flexible roller is loaded by a piston 22, having a rectangular section transverse to its direction of movement, acted on by a diaphragm 17 sealed round its entire periphery by clamping blocks 18, 19 above a recess 15 in a central body 13. The piston acts through a hinge pin 25 and shoe 26 on the interior of roller surface. The clamping blocks are chamfered at 18a, 19a to allow movement of the diaphragm under pressure supplied through ducts 12, 14.
