Abstract

1495142 Switch actuation; door interlocks I M I SANTON Ltd 29 Nov 1974 [4 Sept 1973] 41430/73 Heading H1N A cubicle door interlock similar to that disclosed in Specification 1,495,141 is provided with holding means for retaining the operating handle 3 in a set position and comprising a spring 11, Fig. 2, which engages in the diametral channel 6 once the coupling element 7 attached to the driving spindle 2 has been withdrawn by the opening of the door (Fig. 3, not shown). The switchgear (not shown) comprises main and auxiliary switchgear, the latter being mounted on the inside of the door and normally driven in association with the main switchgear by a gearwheel 13 meshed with a drivewheel 12 concentric and operated by rotation of the shaft 4 by the handle 3. Access to the auxiliary switchgear can be obtained when the door is open and the main operating handle 3 can then be used to drive it independently of the main switchgear by manually lifting the spring 11 to release the holding means.
