Abstract

1494389 Disperse dye printing pastes PROTAN & FAGERTUN A/S 30 April 1975 [30 April 1974] 18025/75 Heading D1B Printing pastes used on hydrophobic fibres comprise a disperse dye, water and magnesium alginate as thickening agent. The print pastes may be used on blends of polyester with cotton in which case a reactive dye is employed for the cotton. Sharp prints of good colour yield are obtained in the absence of sequestering agents. Preferably the paste contains 3-4% by weight of alginate and has a pH of 5-6.
