Abstract

1494265 Pool table K H ELLIOTT 12 Sept 1975 37574/75 Heading A6H A pool table comprises oppositely-directed delivery and return chutes 2, 3, and simultaneously-moveable retaining means 6, 4 at the ends of the return chute so that all playballs roll down the chute 2 into the chute 3 whereas the smaller cue ball falls down onto a retaining means, rolls partly down it and then drops out through a hole 8, except that, when all play-balls have been pocketed, the presence of the last play-ball causes it to be retained. Insertion of a coin in the mechanism causes the barriers 6 and 4 to lower and rise thus releasing the play-balls. A second operation of the coin mechanism causes the barriers to be returned, allowing the cue-ball to drop free.
