Abstract

1493493 Tractor power lift mechanisms DAVID BROWN TRACTORS Ltd 8 March 1976 [11 March 1975] 9958/75 Heading A1P Signals arising from the position of the power lift linkage and the draft load exerted on the linkage are combined to operate simultaneously on a control valve, the effective proportion of the signals being adjustable Rotation of the rock shaft 73 is transmitted via links 202, 203 to a balance lever 207 which is also operated by arm 210 of a two armed lever whose other arm. 216 is moved by pin 217 on lever 212 connected to a draft sensing device by cable 213. A pin 228 and slot 223 connects the balance lever 207 to a slide 224 through lever 227 and the slide rocks balance lever 84 to operate control valve 37. A hand lever 230 connected to lever 227 moves this lever into spring biased discrete positions with regard to slot 223 to alter the proportion of position to draft signal which is combined to be fed to slide 224. In the position shown, draft control is inoperative. The balance lever 84 and hence the control valve is initially set by hand lever 88. For weight transfer hand lever 129 is operated to move the balance lever 84, by means of fork 121, out of engagement with slide 224 and into engagement through a projection 115 with a pressure relief valve 51. The pressure in the hydraulic ram is then controlled by setting balance lever 84 by hand lever 88. In the transport position draft control is made inoperative by pin 218 on the rock shaft operating link 219 to move lever 216 away from pin 217.
