Abstract

1492415 Supporting cables CABLE SUPPORTS Ltd and S A BRADBURY 4 Oct 1976 [3 July 1975] 28124/75 Heading H2C A cable ladder comprises longitudinal members 13 with rungs 12, each longitudinal member having an outwardly extending flange 15 on which suspension units 18 supported by rods 19 are mounted. As shown unit 18 has a flange 24 overlying flange 15 formed with a hole 23 for rod 19. It also has a lower flange 26 with upstanding ribs 27, 28 which engage in a channel formed by a lip 16 on the outer edge of flange 15. A nut 21 is tightened on rod 19 until the end of the rod bears against the flange 15. The suspension elements are formed from parts cut from an aluminium extrusion and coated with nylon.
