Abstract

1492383 Anti-viral immunoglobulins SEPERIC 4 March 1975 [16 March 1974] 11813/74 Heading A5B Topically administrable therapeutic compositions for the therapy of mucocutaneous signs of viral diseases comprise an effective amount of specific anti-viral immunoglobulins and a therapeutically acceptable excipient for topical use. The immunoglobulins may be selected from those obtained by immunization with herpes virus, cowpox virus, lymphogranuloma venerum virus and chicken-pox virus. The composition may be in the form of an ointment, cream, foam, solution for swabbing or useful as a mouthwash, suspension, collyrium, ovule, gynecological tablet, powder, dry nebulizate, dry collutory, milk, eyewash lotion or ophthalmic ointment. The compositions may also contain cortisone type materials, antibiotics, interferon inducing materials, lysozme, and/or synthetic virustatic agents such as iododeoxyuridine and amantadine.
