1492109 Determining uplift of aircraft BODENSEEWERK GERATETECHNIK GmbH 24 June 1975 [27 June 1974] 26781/75 Heading G1N The lift coefficient of an aircraft is derived from measurements of the pressure head, the surface pressure of a lifting surface and the angle of the control flaps, which measurement signals are combined in a computer network in accordance with empirically derived formulae. Further equations and corresponding computer sections produce signals representing the angle of incidence of the aircraft and its weight. The equations used are modified when the aircraft is not in straight-line flight to take into account the bank angle and vertical acceleration.
